We see the new Power Rangers.
We look back at our memories of watching Power Rangers as kids then look forward at our expectations for the new movie.
This week we saw Logan (no spoilers), and continue the Monster Movies with Kong Skull Island (2017) then wrap up with a David Fincher based Collector's Edition.
In anticipation of the release of Kong: Skull Island, we reach back to 2005 and watch Peter Jackson's epic (in runtime, if nothing else) version of the King Kong story.
This week we invest some time in watching the Jodie Foster directed, George Clooney staring Money Monster (2016).
This week we see a new release in real movie theaters! That means some trailer talk then a surprisingly controversial discussion of John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017).
In anticipation of the release of John Wick Chapter 2, we watch the first John Wick (2014).
We have a brief chat with Kenny about his thoughts on Rogue One.
Kenny watched some cool TV shows, we watch the cheap disaster film Maximum Velocity (2003), Kate Hustles up a Favorite/5ifty (in America!) then Austen phones home in The Collector's Edition.
A new STAR WARS movie means a new episode with Tom and Rob from AVRant. (No Bothans were harmed in the making of this podcast)
We watch 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016).
This week we watch another movie (hopefully not unfortunately) staring Pierce Brosnan, The Ghost Writer (2010). We also Kill a Cloud pick in the Favorite/5ifty and dress up for a featurette in the Collector's Edition.
See the news video of Kenny and the gunshot below.
This week we buckle our swashes and take on the widely disliked Geena Davis pirate movie CutThroat Island (1995). Then we dive below the sea for a Kenny Favorite 5ifty then visit the future for a special feature that's really just a feature (sort of).
With the gang all here we head back to the 80's. This week, Carl Weathers IS Action Jackson (1988). Plus Kate's first Favorite 5ifty and a Collector's Edition from a Lost Empire.
It's Election Day (in America!) so even with Kenny and Kate absentee once again, Austen and Cloud perform our Civic Duty and bring you an election themed episode. Swing Vote (2008) is the issue for debate. (contains NO discussion of the actual 2016 election)
It's Halloween!, so we watch the Horror anthology film Trick 'r Treat (2007). We also induct Austen's first favorite into the Favorite 5ifty, talk movie theater memories, recommend a "milestone" special feature, and discuss much else besides.
This week it's just Austen and Cloud with a discussion of the 2014 fan made web series turned movie: Street Fighter Assassin's Fist.
It's October so it's scary movie time! This week we attempt to survive Silent Hill (2006), Cloud's first pick gets put in the Favorite 5ifty and we suggest something fun (and short) in The Collectors Edition.
This week we go back to the 70’s and watch a movie you’ve probably never heard of: The Glove (1978). Also, Kate tells a fish story, we put Zombieland in the Favorite 5ifty and highlight a great special feature related to a much maligned movie in The Collector’s Edition.
In recognition of the 15th anniversary of 9/11/2001 we watch Oliver Stone's World Trade Center (2006) as well as discuss our own memories of that tragic day. We also introduce two new segments to the show: the Favorite 5ifty and The Collector's Edition.
